Joshua 1:2 (NIV) "Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them--to the Israelites.
This was a time for the Israelite nation to move into the land promised to them four decades earlier. Moses their leader was dead and it was a time to turn the page and move forward. Joshua was now the man.
This meant letting go of the past and looking forward to the future with hope and excitement about what the Lord might do. Edmund Burke said "The past should be a springboard, not a hammock."
Here at Lighthouse Christian Church, it's a new day and the Lord is doing a new and great thing. It's time to cross the river into the plans that He has for us. On the horizon is the start of LCC School of Ministry where interns will come on our campus and in a three year intensive, be prepared for ministry. There are new campus' to begin and churches to be planted overseas.
God made a bold promise to the people of Israel. Joshua 1:3 (NIV) I will give you every place where you set your foot… We choose to take hold of this promise and step out in faith into the land promised to God's people.
