Well, let's just say the day didn't look to good as we started it. We had already had about two or more hours of sleeting and freezing rain by 6:00 a.m. with snow coming in around 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.(6-10") Another Sunday with bad weather, ugh! Do we cancel service or do we move forward?
I think every church in town canceled, that is except LCC. With about 150 adults and about 40 kids in childrens church, we met with the Lord. What a sweet presence. God really honored those who braved the weather to come to worship. Lives were challenged to be passionate about sharing Christ with the unchurched and a soul came to Christ. Who would have thought a visitor would come out on a day like this. God is so good. We were suppose to have this service for this one person.
Today was also load in day for the Promise. We decided to cancel drama and choir and move forward with the load in. Can I just say, I love the church! What a great crew. They came ready to work. The set is up in record time and the floor will be repainted by Monday night. What an incredible day. When ever God's people will step forward towards a deeper relationship with Him, He will always show up.
Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV) 13 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Another great thing happened today. I received some new pics of Sylas. Here are just a few.
