Proverbs 3:9-10 (NIV) 9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
In these tough economic times, often the first thing to get cut from our budgets is our giving to the work of the Lord. According to God's Word, this is the worst thing we can do. He said if we will honor Him, He will fill our barns which is great. But even more important than that is that our vats will brim over with new wine.
This speaks of the presence of the Lord and His Spirit in our lives. We can do no better than this - having more of His presence in our lives.
