Change

Once again, change is on the way. For those of you that missed last Sunday mornings service, you missed the announcement the Pastor Dan and Casey are leaving us to be obedient to the call of God in their lives. They are headed for the mission field of Baku. This is something we knew was coming, but, change is never easy.

I'm reminded of the words of Edmund Burke, "The past should be a springboard, not a hammock." The greatest obstacle to experiencing the abundance of God in your life is the failure to let go of the past. The past 2 1/2 years with Pastor Dan and Casey have been great, wonderful, spectacular, utterly stupendous, etc. Need I elaborate more. Their last Sunday and day of Celebration will be Aug. 2. Please plan to be part of that morning as we send them off.

God has a new chapter ahead of us and we must look forward with anticipation as to what God wants to do and where He will take us. It's time to turn the page and stake our claim in the plan God has for us as a church. Remember God's words to Joshua when Moses was gone...

Joshua 1:5 (NIV) ...as I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave nor forsake you."

God has a great plan and He will lead. Please pray for me as I am flying to Orlando to our National Convention to meet with as many Youth Pastors as possible. We already have over a dozen applicants.

God knew this day was coming and He has been preparing the right couple for us. It's great to be able to go to bed at night and not worry in the least about this. I've seen God in His faithfulness to many times to doubt Him now.
