Finished The Course

2 Timothy 4:7 & 8 (NLT) I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. 8 And now the prize awaits me...

There is just so much to say today. Yes, I finished my race. This last weekend, I ran my first half marathon (13.1 miles). You need to know that long distance running and I are like oil and water. NEVER have I enjoyed it. But with the motivation of my Grandson and the cause of C.P., a plan was designed. I actually am starting to look forward to this each day I run.

After seven weeks of remaining faithful to the plan, I was able to cross that finish line and did it under the time I had set as a goal. When I crossed the finished line, a medal was put around my neck. I had received a prize that passes away. But the real award was still awaiting me.

Fast forward one day! Sylas, my motivator to run this race, received his walker and without human hands, walked completely across our house into my arms as if to say, "Papa, you ran for me so today I'm going to walk for you". He was so proud and I was about ready to melt. My knees were weaker at that moment than after 13.1 miles.

Thank you Lord. You are so good! Go Sy Guy! You are my hero! Check out the video at http://www.littlegreenpastures.com/ Enjoy and be blessed!
