1 Corinthians 2:1-2 (MSG) You'll remember, friends, that when I first came to you to let you in on God's master stroke, i didn't try to impress you with polished speeches and the latest philosophy. 2 I deliberately kept it plain and simple: first Jesus and who he is: then Jesus and what he did - Jesus crucified.
I am so thankful today for the fact that Jesus is who He is and has done what He's done. We don't have to impress or even follow the newest fad. We just need to be true to his Word and God takes care of the results.
In today's culture, it seems much of the church tries too hard to give a message that will tickle ears, not offend and will allow us to be out in that sacred hour. I just think God wants to pour out His Spirit and is waiting for the church to just be hungry enough and say I want more. Give me more of Jesus and His Word.
